Taking care of your Hosiery
Hosiery is the knitted garment that covers the legs. They are fit fitting made from a stretchy, meshed fabric. Many people shun away from wearing and buying hosiery due to the past experience where one or a colleague have had to struggle pulling it up in public. The first step in taking care of the hosiery is to never wear it on top of anything; wear putting it on make sure you remove everything on its way as jewelry, and also check for the presence of any sharp or rough edges on your toes and fingers which would tear or over stretch them resulting to constant running or falling. It is of great embarrassment when you hosiery runs in public places and you are compelled to hold it or keep pulling it up.
During the time you wear the hosiery make sure you carefully roll down the pantyhose, the stockings, thigh high placing the toe of the hosiery on the foot, then roll it up slowly covering the legs. After this attach the garter belts of the stocking and do the same for the other leg. This will avoid overstretching or destroying by the toes. Gently pull the rest of the panty hose to the waist making sure that you iron out sags and twists. Follow the same procedure when removing the hosiery and store it carefully. During storage make sure that the hosiery is in no way stretched or is in contact with sharp or hooked edges which would over stretch it when picked.
When washing the hosiery extra care should be taken. Carefully follow the instructions given. You should avoid hash detergents and use the soft one instead. Also do not wash them in the machine washer mixed with other clothes; if possible wash it separately. The reason for washing the hosiery separately is to avoid it coiling around other clothes thus stretch unnecessarily or absorb foreign colors from fast colored clothes. If you are using the machine to wash the hosiery, you should place it well to avoid it coiling on the rotating parts which would stretch it make it not wearable.
In the course of wearing the hosiery, extra care should be taken to avoid objects that can hook into the mesh and tear or stretch it. In worse case those objects can easily pull it down your legs causing a lot of embarrassment. It is also recommended that hosieries not be shared. The convincing reason being that despite that we look similar in features there are slight variations unique to each individual. These variations may shape the hosiery wrongly hence when you wear it the next time you notice some saga and twists.
